Gary has over 15 years of drainage, civil and building experience. Starting out as a licensed builder at Savory Construction, Gary moved into drainlaying with Glasgow Contractors and became a certified drainlayer. In 2013 Gary went out on his own with Almond Contractors.
Gary loves the natural environment and creating solutions for his clients. Whether it’s working and overseeing current projects, planning and pricing the next project, troubleshooting and problem solving, or getting stuck in, Gary will be found on site getting the job done to a high standard.

In Gary's spare time, you will find him mountain biking, spending time with friends, family, partner and his dogs, Toby and Knox.

CARL VIEVIORKA
Registered Drainlayer

Carl joined the team as an Apprentice Drainlayer and completed his Drainage Apprenticeship in 2023.
Carl has 14 years experience in civil works as a skilled labourer, machine operator, drainlayer and truck driver. Carl enjoys building structures, retaining and seeing general civil works from start to finish.

On weekends, you will find Carl spending time with his two young kids, wife and dog.
JAMES BOAG
Skilled Labourer

James is a skilled laborer and general all rounder. James is always keen to get stuck into anything the team needs. James is a fast learner, all round great asset to the team and enjoys his varied work each week.
James enjoys spending his spare time fishing with his brother and spending time with his two dogs, Edward and Marlin.
CARL SMITH
Certified Plumber and Drainlayer

Carl is an extremally experienced certified plumber and drainlayer. Carl gained his qualifications at Laser Plumber and Drainage.
​
Carl likes to spend his weekends watching speedway and spending time on his property with his sheep, wife and young son.
JASON POWER
Machine Operator and Skilled Labourer

Drivers Licence 1, 6L, WTR, Construct Safe
Jason joined the team in 2024 where he came from working with a small business as a machine operator.
​
Jason is extremally precise and takes great pride in all his work.
​
Jason spends his weekends working around home on his first home with his partner on the Coast, fishing and riding dirt bikes.
AMANDA FLEMMING
Accounts and Administration
Amanda looks after the Almond Contractors accounts and administration. Amanda has over 15 years experience working with tradies.
​
Amanda likes to spend her weekends on the many beaches on the Coast and with her kids and husband.
JOE IMRIE
Apprentice Plumber and Drainlayer

Joe is currently completing his Plumbing and Drainage Apprenticeship.

Joe likes to spend his weekends with friends exploring New Zealand's back country 4WD.
TONY KIDDIE
Apprentice Drainlayer, Skilled Labourer and Truck Driver

Tony is Almond Contractors newest team member. Tony comes from a trucking background where he has spent the last few years Trucking around the North Island.
​
Tony is looking for a lifestyle change where he will now be completing his Drainage Apprenticeship, starting 2024.
​
Tony spends his weekends with his family and friends and young kids.
KERYWN LEE
Project Manager

Bachelor of Chemical and Engineering Degree (hons)
Kerwyn has spent the last 8 years in the water industry in New Zealand and Australia with operational engineering and project deliver experience in all three waters.
​
Kerwyn has a passion for the water industry with experience delivering projects from wetland renewals ranging to wastewater reticulation and water treatment projects.
​
In his spare time, Kerwyn enjoys spending time with friends, family and bouldering.
